Just wondering if this is some kind of discrimination at work?
My boss recently took me aside at work (work in commerce and sale of clothing retailer) and asked me where I have the shirt worn since. I had recently been on vacation so I bought it to go shop there. She then said that it is not acceptable while working to promote other brands in your store. I understand completely, I do not even think about it. I just do not think that matters, because the brand was not visible in the current top. Only the label that must have been out. Anyway she went on to say that I have to buy clothes from there or get fired. She said it was unfair to her and that she was paying me to work there. That is not true. I get paid to work. If you get what I mean. My mother said it was intimidation, because it is not actually providing uniforms, I have to buy. I mean, I get off, but not so great. What should I do? It is even there anything I can do? Thanks for reading:)
Wow, that's pretty rare. Do others in your workplace to buy clothes from there too, and use all day? Since it is your boss, maybe you should only go ahead and buy some clothes. You do not have to buy much, though, and maybe she will not notice if you use some of his own pants, a plain white blouse, or a few simple accessories with clothing. If it is expensive, then would it work if you say you're on a budget or spent too much money on your vacation?
